Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)- In Clinic
Reports to: Clinical Director, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Operations Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes
Job Type: FT

Job Summary

  • Provide Clinic Based 1:1 ABA therapy, implementing DTT and NET techniques
  • Facilitate peer play and social skills activities in a structured clinic schedule
  • Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and communicate progress to BCBA
  • Maintain RBT certification by tracking supervision hours and timely renewal as required

BT/RBT Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with patients in the clinic, home, school, and community settings.
  • Consistently implement patient programming with fidelity (under BCBA’s direction) and prepare program materials for each session. Programming may include a wide variety of domains such as functional communication, social skills, and adaptive living skills (e.g., toileting).
  • Collect and maintain accurate data and clinical notes utilizing data collection software.
  • Review and implement consultation / supervision note recommendations.
  • Participate in on-going training, evaluation and meetings as required.
  • Assist with caregiver training, and clinical assessments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with BCBA regarding learner’s progress.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and caregivers as needed.
  • Maintain their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification by tracking supervision hours and renewing their certification as mandated by regulatory body.
  • Work with integrity and ethically follow the BACB RBT Ethic Code.
  • Understanding and adherence to HIPAA policies, patient confidentiality, and patient dignity.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with patients and caregivers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (relevant degree preferred)
  • RBT Certification or commitment to become certified as an RBT
  • Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Experience with children, ASD, or developmental disorders is preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail/strong data collection skills

  • Ability to work full-time (30 – 40 hours/week), including some flexibility regarding schedule changes required to accommodate patient and staff needs.
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively within a team from wide ranging backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Highly motivated and energetic during work hours.

Working Conditions

Physical Conditions:
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and spend long periods of time standing as well as an ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Endurance to move rapidly from a seated position to a standing position to accommodate programming and/ or for the safety of the patient.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity enough to operate office equipment, etc.
  • Clerical and administrative work requires adequate vision and hearing abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly through audio and video platforms on a variety of electronic devices.
  • Free from any physical or mental condition or addiction to any substance that could impair competent and objective professional performance of behavior analysis services and / or jeopardize public health and safety.
  • No history of investigations or disciplinary actions by a health care organization, professional association, governmental entity or regulatory or licensing agency or authority, and / or no history of conviction, plea of guilty, or current investigation or charge of a felony or misdemeanor directly relating to behavior analysis OR public health and safety.
